The SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests) is a standardized test used to help identify difficulties in the different areas of sensory functioning and motor planning. It is the only current standardized measure of its kind aimed very specifically at the different areas often related to sensory integrative dysfunction; it measures vestibular processing, proprioceptive processing, tactile processing, bilateral integration, sequencing skills, visual motor abilities, spatial perception and motor planning. The SIPT is designed to test children between the ages of 4 years and 0 months to 8 years and 11 months.  Many occupational therapists complete advanced training to administer this test.
